Third summary
November 2022. Time to write another summary.
Within the last weeks and months I did some more houses and cityblocks - just to close the gap between the Trocadero's left side and the River Seine. They all are part of a quarter called "Passy".
Nearby the Metro passes the River Seine (over a bridge called "Pont Bir Hakeim") and the station Passy before vanishing in the underground again. I modelled both the bridge and the station some months ago, and now they are linked to the model.
I found it quite important to include this area, because now I have the chance to do some Trocadero renders without having the standardized "matchbox houses" on one size. Have a look:
Just to give you an overview over the main part of my model:
Besides I was busy adding some more details to the existing houses. I was just modelling some house following my established routine; then I thought it looks a little "poor" - but what about adding e.g. some consoles carrying the balconys? Doing so I recognized it's an affair of only few minutes, and looks good... so what about adding those consoles to the rest of my houses? Copy and paste...
But doing small corrections to about 400 houses takes some time indeed...
Again let's have some statistics: The model consists of
- 42 city blocks, including
- 510 city houses.
- Filesize is 3.65 GB, but including some doubled OSM stuff ("clay houses") which I used for my Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame renders..
I guess that all in all this should give me a convincing background for the Eiffel Tower - so let's start with the Tower itself.
